Anxiety can be triggered by many things. Some are more sensitive to these triggers than others, but in most anxiety cases the actual triggers are unique to the individual. Anxiety as a "natural instinct" is designed to protect you from danger. It's a form of self preservation that triggers the fight or flight response in you. When strong emotional responses to certain events gets associated in your nervous system you tend to run set emotional patterns. Anxiety is nothing but a thinking pattern that gets set off by a specific trigger. Although the physical symptoms of headaches, sweating, insomnia and tension are physical the real problem with anxiety is the mental and emotional effects. Anxiety can be extremely debilitating. It can consume your mind and make it difficult to focus on important everyday tasks. Suffering from anxiety can make it hard to function normally and be effective in your job or at home with a family. There are many anxiety cures and most of them revolve around regaining control over your mind and your thinking. Here are some very easy ways to help you cure anxiety 1. Talk about it Find someone who you trust and who you feel comfortable to confide in. Talk to them about your fears and your worries. Often talking about it can be healing and "getting it out" instead of bottling up your feelings can be very therapeutic. 2. Write it down Keeping a journal and getting your fears, worries and feelings out on paper is a well known technique. This will help you to "see" your fears and worries and often it helps you to see it in a new light. 3. Stop avoiding decisions Avoiding decisions is a sure fire way to always feel out of control. Start making decisions - even if they are small. It will help you to start feeling like you are in control again. 4. Live in the moment Anxiety is characterized by imagining things that might happen in the future. 99.99% of the time they never come true anyway. Learn to live in the now and start practicing present moment living. You might want to read The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle to help you with this. 5. Relax and let go When you are overwhelmed by all the demands, worries and frustrations of the every day demands, it is easy to get overwhelmed. When you are in that stressed and fearful mode, anxiety can easily take hold of you. Learn to relax and to let go and stat doing things that will make you feel relaxed. Getting out in nature is a great way to let go and to reconnect with the peacefulness of nature.
