Astral projection is a very natural state of being and many people around the world practice it on a regular basis. It is used to gain clarity or enlightenment, to communicate with people or places that you wish to seek contact with, or even to gain new spiritual awareness. Almost everyone can learn to do it and in fact, you have probably already done it at some point and didn’t even know it. This often happens while you are sleeping. The following is a short list of 5 tips for astral projection and how you can be on your way to achieving astral travel of your own. 1.Lose the fear- Astral projection is very natural so being afraid of it will not only hold your mind back, but it will also create barriers that could be dangerous. If you’re afraid then you won’t be able to relax and relaxing is one of the most important parts of being able to astral project. 2.Meditate- It’s hard to clear your mind and relax, but one of the best ways to do this is to meditate. By focusing on your breathing, practicing visualization, and even resorting to self-hypnosis you can learn to control your mind and therefore your body. This can be extremely helpful in astral projection since the more control you have over your travels, the safer and more fulfilling they will be. 3.Don’t get too relaxed- Of course, the more relaxed you are then the more likely you are to fall asleep! While that’s not a bad thing, it won’t always lead to astral projection. Instead of trying to do it in your bed, try laying on the floor or on your couch and don’t do it when you’re really tired or right before bedtime. You may find that after traveling you are very exhausted and taking a nap or going to sleep at that point might be preferable, but falling asleep during it can disrupt your travels. 4.Focus- Focusing can be one of the hardest things to do, but it’s important for a number of reasons. Focus on your breathing, on telling your body to relax, and later on where you are traveling to. Sometimes, the last thing your body and mind want to do are focus when you tell them to. To “trick” them, try focusing on something simple at first, like counting or breathing exercises. 5.Don’t push it- The harder you try, the more likely you are to fail. Don’t try to project when you only have a short amount of time to do it in, unless you’re very experienced. You might find that you have to continue to start over and over again so having lots of time on your hands in the beginning is one of the easiest ways to ensure success in the matter.
