What are chakras? Chakras are energy centers throughout the body that are responsible for the condition of your mind, body, and spirit. You have 7 chakras. Each chakra works on a special focus for emotional health, healing, and spiritual growth. Each chakra has certain attraction power.
Chakras are energy centers throughout the body that are responsible for the condition of your mind, body, and spirit. Chakra means wheel, and chakras are like spirals of energy, each related to the other. Imagine the main chakras as energy centers moving like a spinning wheel in a clockwise direction. Each wheel needs to move smoothly and at a similar speed to work properly.
There are seven main chakras, each working on a special focus for emotional health, healing, and spiritual growth. Keeping them clean allows energy to flow through them smoothly and unobstructed.
1. The first chakra is known as the root chakra. It is located at the bottom of your spine and is your place of survival, safety, and connection to the earth. The associated color is ruby red.
2. The second chakra is known as the sacred chakra. It is located a few inches below the belly button and is the place of your emotions, feelings, needs, and sexuality. The associated color is orange.
3. The third chakra is known as the solar plexus chakra. It is located a few inches above your navel and is the place of your self-esteem, personal power, and self-knowledge. The associated color is yellow.
4. The fourth chakra is known as the heart chakra. It is located in the center of your chest and is the place of love, the heart, and nurturing. The associated color is green. The color green is also the color of healing.
5. The fifth chakra is known as the throat chakra. It is located at your throat and is the place of your self-esteem and communication. The associated color is blue.
6. The sixth chakra is known as your third eye. It is located between your eyes and is the center of wisdom, seeing the truth, thought, and seeing the light. The associated colors are deep purple and blue violet with white flashes of light.
7. The seventh chakra is known as the crown chakra. It is located at the crown of your head and is your place of knowing, bliss, and divinity. The associated color is violet.
Why Cleaning Is Important
The importance of cleaning the chakras is to keep energy flowing through them smoothly and unobstructed.
When you begin working with the chakra and they are open, they are also vulnerable in a good way. When they are open, they will send more response that will affect you much better throughout the day than when they are closed.
It is best to keep your chakras clean in the same way it is good to keep your physical body clean. If you come in contact with many sick people or situations, or areas with energies that are not feeling really good or clean, it is best to clean your chakras to get rid of that unbalanced energy so that it doesn’t affect you.
You can also clean your chakras when you get sick. For example, it is a good idea to cleanse the root chakra to combat the sickness and to speed your recovery. Cleaning your chakras helps you to have better health and a smoother energy flow.
You will notice a huge difference after you clean them. Maybe not the first time, but with repeated practice you will start to feel more empowered. If you go without cleaning your chakras for a while, you will instantly notice a very big difference.
How do you know when your chakras are clean?
You will most likely feel different, more relaxed. You can even feel lighter. That means all of the excess junk is cleaned out of your chakras and out of your body. You will notice some differences when you are finished, and even during the process.
Clean your chakras three times a week minimum in the beginning. After you have done it for a couple of weeks, you should do it at least once a week. If you want to be very clean all the time, you can clean every day. However, once a week is usually fine, unless you do a lot of work with unhealthy people.
For example, if you are working in a hospital or you deal with a lot of negative people, it is very good to clean your chakras every single day.
Cleansing: Visualize the Colors
By visualizing the colors associated with each chakra, you can heal and empower them. There are two ways that you can clean your chakras.
1. The first way is by visualizing a ball of light the specific color of each chakra coming down from the sky and stopping in front of the chakra. This ball of light then blows the light into your chakra and pulls out any dirt or negativity. For example, for the root chakra it is a red ball of light. For the sacred chakra it is an orange ball of light. Do this for each chakra.
2. The second way is to visualize the ball of light sucking any dirt from the chakras. Do this for each one as well.
There is no set time period for how long it takes to clean your chakras. If you wish, you can combine the exercises and see it blasting the dirt away, and then sucking any leftovers off.
I recommend doing either exercise three times a week in the beginning. After a few weeks of practice, you can then lower it to once a week.
Next lesson we will talk about how important it is to release negative energies you hold on and how this can make you much more happier.
