A new addition to the weight loss market, african mango promises seemingly impossible – weight loss without dieting or exercise. Initially brought to our attention in September 2010 on ABC by Dr. Oz, it was described as the must have weight loss supplement. Praised by celebrities and customers alike, does this natural product really live up to all the hype? Let’s see. What is it? An edible fruit, growing in the tropical rainforests of western Cameroon, the african mango, or irvingia gabonensis, has been consumed for hundreds of years as a food. But it is the seeds or nuts of the irvingia gabonensis, known as dika nuts, which are most prized, because of their medicinal properties. Employed to cure everything from diarrhea to yellow fever, and taken by hunters to boost energy and combat fatigue iafrican mango offers all round health benefits. It is an extract from the irvingia gabonensis seeds that is employed to make the supplement. How Does Irvingia Gabonensis Work? African mango supplement works basically by enhancing the feeling of satiety when we eat and by impeding the food we eat from being converted to fat which is then stored in our bodies. Also, african mango works productively to reduce body fat and lower bad LDL cholesterol levels. The Proof … Of course weight loss supplements for dieters wanting to quickly burn fat are nothing new, but unusually for a weight loss product, clinical studies have really been implemented which verify the claims. Several clinical studies have been implemented within the last 20 years, but it is only recently that this knowledge has come to mainstream attention in the west. In one study, participants taking african mango extract lost an average of 28.1 lbs over a ten week period, opposed to an average weight loss of 1.5 lbs in the placebo group. A different study, carried out over a month, revealed an average weight loss of 11.7 lbs against 2.9 lbs in the placebo group. Also, body fat percentage dropped by an average of 6.3% compared with 1.9% in the placebo group. Total cholesterol levels fell by 39% and bad LDL cholesterol by 45.6%, and waist circumference dropped by average 2 inches. And remember, all this was without any modifications to diet or exercise levels. Obviously faster returns can be obtained when taken concurrently with a diet and exercise program, but this is not necessary. Conclusion Backed up by verified scientific study, african mango is a natural, safe and efficient weight loss medium. So, if you’re seeking to lose weight, or are considering which method to use, african mango is definitely worth considering.
