Are women more at risk than men in getting gout? A new study out says there may be a link that comes with dangers, especially if women enjoy sugary sodas filled with fructose-filled beverages and drinks. Gout is a painful form of rheumatoid arthritis and has exploded recently as far as the number of people affected. In fact, statistics show that in 1996 there were an estimated 42 people for every 100,000 suffering from gout, up from 16 per every 100,000 in 1977.rnExperts believe sugary sodas are a big reason why women are filling the ranks in these statistics. Sodas and sugary beverages can cause a buildup of problems in the blood, including problems with uric acid, which often leads to gout.rnNearly 80,000 women, who initially began with no signs of gout, began the Nurses’ Health Study, taking place between 1984 and 2006. A distinct link in sugary beverages was offered when women who consumed one serving per day were 74% more likely to have problems with gout later on in life. In addition to painful bouts of rheumatoid arthritis, gout is notorious for also increasing joint discomfort and decreasing joint mobility. Alternative remedies for gout increase joint mobility, as health professionals have been saying all along.rnFlexcin, a natural joint pain supplement, regularly receives calls from people looking for alternative remedies to address joint discomfort and a lack of joint mobility. Made with CM8, Flexcin acts as a lubricant for the joints, building back lost cartilage and increasing overall joint mobility.rnThe report is made available in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It was also presented during the American College of Rheumatology annual scientific meeting in Atlanta.
