What is the Difference Between Involvement and Commitment?

This is by no means a trick question. When it comes to your Success in life are you Involved or are you committed? Many people get frustrated with life; they get ticked off when they think of their current situations or place in life. They try and try but nothing seems to be going the way they had hoped for. In most cases these good but frustrated people have wrongly expected that their involvement in their own quest for success will lead to success. It is true that you've got to be at least involved in your own quest for success. Many people who think about success do not even try to get involved in making those thoughts a reality consequently these people never find success (Daydreamers). You just can't simply be involved you've got to be Committed.

A person who is involved tries things while a Committed person does things. Beware of people who try to discourage you from doing anything because they've “tried it and it didn't work”. Do not take advice from Try-ers instead listen only to the Do-ers.

The reason most people cannot commit to their own success is because they've not learned to commit to other things. They are not committed to their family, work, or ideals so it becomes very difficult to commit to success. Commitment is not a switch you can turn on and off; you cannot be a slacker at your place of employment then all of a sudden become a committed person when you're off. It won't work. You must learn to become committed to the small things then it'll become easier to be committed to your dreams and goals.

When you are committed to your very own success not a day will go by that you will not take a step towards that success regardless of how tiny a step it is. You will claim that success on a daily basis, you will plan it out on a daily basis, and you will believe in that success on a daily basis even if you experience a temporary failure (all failures are temporary for success bound people). Commitment requires you develop a CEO mindset; you must view yourself as the CEO of your life and situations and not just a mere employee. A CEO mindset will force you to take full responsibility and accountability for your path in life, your decision, your relationships, and your success.

Picture your success daily, plan your success daily and revamp those plans as need be, take full responsibility for your success (no one but you can hinder your own success – that is a fact). Don't try But Do instead. There is an old saying that states “ The difference between 'Tri' and success is a little 'Umph' at the end”. Live life with a little 'Umph' and you will undoubtedly find Triumph.

When asked what the difference is betwee
Involvement and Commitment Martin Dale responded: Perhaps I can best explain this by way of analogy with bacon and eggs. In bacon and eggs, the hen is involved but the pig is committed.

Make a pig outta life

To your Supreme Success!
