If you’re one of them, let me tell you that the process is a little more complicated than that. There are strategies that you need to make use of in order to make sure that you’ll attract the attention of your target market. These are the following: 1. First, you need to know the topics that your target audience consider useful and interesting. Keep in mind that people in general will only read an article if they’re convinced that they’ll get something from it. Before you start writing, I suggest that you do your research first. If you can make them feel certain emotions and if you can make them want to read your articles, you can be assured that your open rate will dramatically improve in no time at all. 3. Earn the trust and confidence of your readers. It’s very important that you get your readers to like and trust you through your articles. Give them proof that you’re really good on what you do and that you’re the best person to help them in either reaching their goals or solving their problems. Make sure that you share a slice of your expertise and that you communicate your sincere interest in helping them out. You need to get these people to see you as a professional in your field who have all the answers to their questions and who’s more than willing to go to great lengths to make a difference in their lives or careers. 4. Give your audience great reading experience. You’ll increase your chances of getting these people to click through your resource box if you make reading and learning a fun experience for them. So, I suggest that you make your articles interesting and entertaining by writing them using friendly, conversational tone. Whenever possible, insert relevant stories and examples. Use lay man’s terms, ask questions, and insert jokes appropriate to the topics that you’re discussing. 5. Get your readers to click through your resource box. Send these people to your website or squeeze page by enticing them to click the link on your resource box. These people will not think twice if they’re convinced that you’re a great source of information and if you offer them freebies like short ebooks.
