Although the benefits of astral travel are numerous, there are ways of having an even more intensified experience and getting the most out of your travels. One of the most important things that you can do is to be specific when it comes to your goals, objectives, and even your overall destination. As with the Law of Attraction, when you are specific with the Universe when it comes to your needs, the Universe will often provide for you. People who don’t get what they want are usually people who are unsure of what they want in the first place. Some people who don’t experience success with astral travel have problems with their overall sense of direction and aren’t sure what they really want out of the experience. If you ask for something ambiguous then you’re more than likely to get an ambiguous response, or at least a response that doesn’t make sense to you right away. This might leave you feeling discouraged and unmotivated and make you less likely to try astral travel in the future-although it shouldn’t. Instead, try being specific in your desires. When you travel, ask a question such as “What lesson should I learn today” Or, if you are seeking clarity on a particular situation then visualize that situation and ask what you should have gleaned from it and didn’t. Likewise, if you want to travel to a specific time period then you need to be very clear about when and where you want to go. For instance, if you want to visit New York City in 1842 then you need to be specific about that and not simply say that you want to go back to the 1800’s. You might end up in the woods at the turn of the century. There are times, of course, when your higher self will determine what is best for you to see and do. When this happens, it’s normally the best idea to go along with it and not fight it. There might be a lesson in store for you or information that you need to learn that you weren’t even aware of. The Universe has a good way of knowing these things so you shouldn’t discount any experience that you have, even if it’s not the one that you want. When you return from your astral travel, make sure that you record your experience so that you can look back over it later and try to decipher it. Oftentimes, although you might return feeling satisfied and content, you might not fully understand what has happened. When this occurs, taking a few days and then revisiting the experience can be a great way of analyzing it and figuring out the true meaning.
