In the fictional movie, “Field of Dreams” a voice told Ray, “Build it and they will come.” Don’t worry, I am not talking about a ball field for disembodied players. I am speaking about your future. Whatever it is that the voice says to you. (Just listen…) Whether it be your business idea, your gift to the world or your perfect mate, build it in your mind first. Every great thing that has ever been built was an idea in someone’s mind first. So the small seed of an idea that exists in your mind can be watered and cared for and encouraged to grow until – it’s time has come and it manifests. Now over 80% of people are “visuals” which means the best way to impress their subconscious mind is with visual images. I have two suggestions to help with this: 1) Exercise your imaging muscles Try this exercise: Take a small object and hold it in your hand. Close your eyes and relax your body completely. Recall the image of this object in your hand. Focus on the details best you can. Now open your eyes and see how you did. rnNext, close your eyes again and imagine something about the same size that you would like to have. Expand the image all you can. What color is it? What texture is it? Can you view in from different angles? This helps you stretch your imagination and increase your chance of bringing that thing to you. 2) Make a Wheel of Fortune The Wheel of Fortune, also called a Treasure Map or Vision Board, is a visual tool to help you get into the feeling of your prosperity. Take pictures of what you want to create and paste them onto poster board. Look at it every day (especially just before bed) to impress the pictures on your mind. Use colored pictures for more vivid imaging. Don’t clutter your board and it’s a good idea to place pictures of money along the things you want so that you don’t get the things and indebtedness too. Also, a good idea is to place a spiritual symbol on your board. This gives your desires a spiritual protection and opens the way for what you have pictured (or something better) to come to you. And with both exercises keep quiet about what you are creating. Your idea is like a fragile seedling, growing and taking shape. It needs protection. When it has taken form, you’ll be able to talk about it all you want! Doing this work first in your mind can not only save you tons of time, it allows you to use your creativity and tweak your masterpiece before it appears. Oh, and it’s fun too!
