We read about the Law of Attraction and it seems so simple. Change your thoughts and you change your life. What could be simpler? Most of us discover that it may be simple, but it isn't easy. We find it difficult because it is about more than just changing our thoughts. The Law of Attraction manifests who we think we are in our physical reality. Once we get a handle on our self-created identity we can build traction toward manifesting the life we truly desire.
The first tip is to understand who you think you are. How do you see yourself? Write down all the ways in which you describe yourself. Make a list of beliefs you have about yourself. Make sure you don't avoid anything here. You have created images of yourself that play out in various relationships and situations. Ask yourself: Who am I being in my work relationships? Who am I being in my personal relationships? This requires you to step outside of yourself and be the nonjudgmental observer. Write down your answers. Are you confident and secure in these relationships? If not, what beliefs do you have that cause you stress or frustration? Are you angry and blaming toward anyone? If so, are you playing the victim? In your mind you have flashed a picture of yourself, and that picture has come into manifestation in your life. Find out what picture you have created of yourself.
The second tip is to take full responsibility. That is, you exercise your ability to respond. It is no one's fault that you are where you are. Think of it this way: You have orchestrated every situation and relationship exactly the way it has been in order to come to this moment, right now, where opportunity abounds. With full responsibility you let go of all blaming. Responsibility is freedom. You make the decision that you will no longer blame others for your life situation, nor will you blame yourself. As blaming thoughts arise, release them. Give them to God, and simply tell yourself that you are just not interested in those thoughts anymore.
The third tip is to unify yourself with your Source, by whatever name you call It. I call It God. Stop identifying with negative thoughts, with your past, with old hurts and beliefs. Your intention is to identify with God, the Source, or your Higher Self. Whenever negative emotion arises, stop. Acknowledge it, but refuse to identify with it. In other words, don't immerse yourself in the drama. Immerse yourself in thoughts of God. Immerse yourself in gratitude for the unconditional love of God for you. Acknowledge that the love of God surrounds you. God is your only Source. Instead of working on your self, you are identifying with your Self.
You build traction with intention and practice. Maintain your intention, your commitment to shift your identity. Start your day by expressing your intention and visualizing the kind of day you, as your Higher Self, would have. Practice being your Self throughout the day. You practice by identifying how you are seeing yourself whenever negative emotion arises. You take responsibility for your beliefs and refuse to blame. You shift your attention from the negative emotions and beliefs to focusing on God as your Source, and being grateful for the love you are now receiving. Every moment of hurt, anger, or resentment is an opportunity to practice. Every negative reaction is a doorway through which you can move to find the joyous and abundant life that awaits you.nn.
