You live a busy life, yet you somehow manage to squeeze in about 30 minutes a day to workout. Congratulations! You are doing more than a lot of people are able to do. Would you like to know the secret to getting maximum results from the time you are able to commit to working out?nnA very common belief is that you need to workout longer and longer as your fitness level progresses to continue to see results. If this were true, shouldn't your goal be workout around the clock? If you can only spare 30 minutes or so in a day to workout, you need to be quick and efficient and still get great results.nnHere's a simple way to really knock it out of the park and minimize the time you workout while maximizing your results! nnIf you're really busy, and definitely can't add any more time to your workouts, then your ace in the hole is to increase your intensity.nnThis means if you do your cardio on the treadmill, take it up a notch. If you started with level 3 in the first month, do level 4 in the second month.nnFor your weight lifting, if you started with 5-pound weights in the first month, move up to 7.5 pounds in the second month. And then on those days when your day is not filled with meetings and stuff to do, try to stay an extra 5-10 minutes and do some extra lifting.nnUpping your intensity will keep your body from adapting to your workout and will cause you to continue to see strength gains in your body.nnIf you like to work the same body parts every time you workout, change the exercise to keep your body from adapting. For example, instead of doing dumbbell curls for your biceps one week, do preacher or cable curls instead to change things up and hit your biceps from a different angle.nnImportant Note: Be realistic with your weights and goals, especially when you're just starting out. Putting the cart before the horse and increasing frequency and intensity too soon can overwhelm you, and you'll want to give up. Not to mention that you'll most likely get REALLY SORE!nnDon't get too competitive with yourself and try to increase your intensity too fast. The direct result will always be burnout and you won't want to go to the gym.nnYour mantra should be, "Slowly but Surely".nnThink about it, if you increase your intensity gradually and intelligently, your body will adapt quickly to the small changes. The best part is your fitness level will definitely increase and you'll be amazed when you look back in a few months to see how far you've come. And don't forget, a lifetime of fitness is a marathon, not a sprint!nnThere's no rush! Enjoy how working out makes you feel and feel your stress melt away.

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off.
