Bob Proctor is a mentor, teacher, and role model for me for learning about the law of attraction and the power of positive thinking. I once heard him say that the room you are in right now is filled with music! Can you hear it? If you can’t hear it, does that mean it isn’t there? Could it be that the music is there but you are not tuned in to it? Could it be that you have to be listening in on a certain frequency in order to hear it? Of course! That is why we have radios! A radio is simply a device that allows you to pick the exact frequency to listen to and then magnifies the sounds on that frequency through the speakers. So the music was there all along, but you would never really know it until you tuned in to it! This is the way everything works in our lives. One of the natural laws is called the Law of Vibration. Everything is vibrating and being conscious of the vibration is manifested in through one of our senses, such as hearing, seeing, feeling, etc. What is music? It is sound waves vibrating at a certain speed and frequency. So if the radio is turned off, is the music still there? Sure it is. As long as the station is transmitting those sound waves out, it’s there in the room with you all along. In fact, all the sound waves from all the stations are in the room at the same time! It’s a good thing we can’t hear them without the use of a radio! Once you understand that everything is energy and everything is vibrating, then you will come to understand how your thoughts (vibrating energy) can make you conscious of things (also vibrating energy) which you currently cannot see, hear, feel, smell, or experience. In other words, the things you want and need are already in the room. You just can’t see it! What you need is a way to tune in to the same frequency or vibration of that object. Your mind works in a similar way as a radio. You simply must tune your mind to the same vibration or frequency as the thing you are wanting to experience. If you are like me, you may think that sounds goofy. However, after considering scriptures such as:rnHebrews 11:1 – Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things NOT seen…rnAnd Mark 11:24 – When you pray, believe you have ALREADY received that which you asked for….(in other words, it’s already in the room) andrnProverbs 23:7 – As a man thinks in his heart, so is he! I came to the conclusion that this has been God’s plan for us all along. To live a full, abundant life is to fulfill the will of God.rnI have tried it and it works. I’ve NOT tried it and it STILL works. I have not believed it and it worked anyway. But the best thing is, when I believe it and do it, it works better and faster! The reason that is so is because a thought is a certain vibration, but when you concentrate on it and purposefully think it, over and over, it increases the vibration and frequency. It’s like turning a single bullet into a laser light! The law of attraction really does work. The best part is that we have full control over what “station” our mind is tuned to. Prayer is simply the act of verbalizing to God the specific details of the desires of your heart. I think this is why Paul told us to “pray without ceasing” in I Thessalonians 5:17. As for me, I chose to tune in to (think about, pray about, concentrate on) the things that are important to me. What about you? “The mind in itself and in its own place can make a hell out of heaven or a heaven out of hell.” - John Miltonrn
