Chocolate Cake or Callings?

Is something calling you? Trying to get your attention? Not like a piece of chocolate cake! I’m talking about a different kind of calling.

The kind of “calling” I’m talking about is an inner urge or strong impulse to do something outside the ordinary. It is often visceral. You feel it “in your bones.” It’s deeper than a thought.

It feels divinely inspired, and it is! This “calling” is a part of your inner guidance system.

A “calling” comes from your greater self. It is calling in to guide you to experiences that will expand your current sense of who you are and what’s possible for you. To wake you up even more to YOUR life. And to unexpected opportunities to realize dreams that you may have tucked away or answers that you have been searching for.

About the chocolate cake - or your version of it - that may “call” you! If you do say yes, make sure that your chocolate cake is of the highest quality and savor it! If it’s not satisfying as it promised to be, it may be a distraction to keep from looking at a true “calling.”

What’s distracting you from looking at what is really calling you?

Look below the chocolate cake or the other distractions in your life. And see what is really “calling” YOU. When you get in touch with or acknowledge that, you will know on some level that this deeper “calling” is what’s next for you.

You might not know “why” just now. That comes with the experiences you will have. Or you might not know “how” to go about it. That’s natural.

But do say “Yes!” Saying yes is powerful. You are saying yes to your greater self.

Do say “yes.” Even if it takes your breath. That’s actually a good sign. Even if it requires life changes. It will require some. Your greater self that called you will provide everything you need - and more - to follow that call.

If you follow the call, it will provide you with unexpected opportunities to move more fully into new or greater aspects of who you are and into YOUR life. It will either directly or indirectly empower you to recognize more fully what you are here to do and do that. And it will most certainly bring you greater aliveness!

If you say yes to the chocolate cake, enjoy it. But look deeper anyway. If you say yes to the deeper “calling, this may be an instance where you can have your cake and eat it too!
