Indoor air is often polluted worse than outdoor air. A good air purifier can help, but running it day and night is cost prohibitive. We can take other steps to help cut down on allergens and sensitivities that cause that “Sneeze” in your Organic Space!n

  • Make sure the windows and doors are closed on real windy days, especially during pollen season.n
  • Don't hang clothes out to dry during pollen season or high dust times.n
  • Turn on your air purifier when you get home for the recommended time to clear the air in your immediate environment, turn off before you go to sleep.n
  • Don't leave home with some windows open.n
  • Do a quick vacuum over areas that pet's frequent, especially the kitty litter box if applicable.n
  • When cooking, make sure air circulation is good in your space and do not overheat foods.nn Weeklynn
  • Clean bathrooms and the kitchen to avoid moisture build up of mold.n
  • Dust wood furnishings after you vacuum.n
  • Vacuum the blinds/curtains.n
  • Wash stuffed animals in hot water if applicable.n
  • Wash bedding in hot water.n

  • Wipe down houseplants with a suitable wipe formula, even water will help. Houseplants can carry pollen and or mold.n
  • Check for water and mold in the basement or attic.n
  • Change air filters.n

  • Replace carpets to hard wood floors and get throw carpets that can be washer cleaned.n
  • Use hypoallergenic covers on pillows and mattresses.n
  • Keep dogs and cats out of all bedrooms.n
