Don’t Allow Your Commitment to Comfort Rob You Of Success!

Everything in our lives is connected. On the surface it might appear we have a problem in one area of our lives when really the problem stems from a different area of our lives.

My friend Chris experienced this firsthand. As a business owner he was struggling to GROW his business. After asking for guidance on how to build his business he kept hearing the same answer from within himself: get your weight under control.

What? I remember him explaining to me how confused this made him. The more he asked God for answers on how to grow his business the more steadfastly the answer would come: lose the weight!

Finally he surrendered and he said yes to that deep inner knowing that was trying to get his attention. He got his health in order.

He lost significant weight. Upgraded his image. Shared his wisdom with others. And guess what happened? Not only did he get his weight under control he also started growing his business. Not just in a small way…in a glorious way!

I’m experiencing this firsthand right now. In my quest to live my BEST LIFE, which includes growing and expanding my business, I’ve had to make changes in other parts of my life. I’ve had to embrace ALL ASPECTS of my life, not just the ones that feel easy to embrace, but also the ones that are a bit more challenging.

Over the years my health and wellness have unfortunately taken a backseat to other things. I have felt challenged to change this area of my life because frankly I’ve been more committed to feeling comfortable and getting by tha

Even though I’ve made significant progress building my business I knew to continue growing I had to make changes in other areas of my life which I had been resistant to changing.

I’ve taken to HONOR my SELF and my life is to set BOUNDARIES where I haven’t before.

There have been a few places in my life where my boundaries and wishes took a backseat to other people’s wishes. Now, I’m not blaming anyone for this, not at all. In fact I take full responsibility for all of it! People don’t know what you need until you share with them what you need. People can’t support you and your dreams unless you give them the details and opportunity to do so!

I see a lot of business owners struggle to grow their businesses and their response to that struggle is often to take more business building courses, read more books, get more coaching, etc.

Now, all of this may be very helpful. However, what if the problem in your business has absolutely NOTHING to do with WHAT you’re doing or not doing in your business and has everything to do with how you manage your LIFE?

(I realize reading that last question might trigger some of you. Please know I say all of these things with a deep reverence for the human experience.)

Today consider this: Rarely if you’ve been struggling with something for a long time is the issue as it appears on the surface…it usually goes much deeper. If you’ve been struggling to grow your business is there any other aspect of your life you need to get totally honest with yourself about? Is there a way you’re living that just doesn’t serve you anymore? Is there some part of your life you’ve let slip or ignore? Is it time to get out of your comfort zone so you can finally step into your brilliance?

Only you know if what I’m saying applies to you. I hope you know I can ask you these questions only because I’ve had the courage to ask myself these exact questions and I’ve had to face some pretty unpleasant truths about how I’ve lived certain aspects of my life.
I don’t want you to think for a minute that in order to grow your business you need to be PERFECT in all areas of your life. That is not at all what I’m saying. I have a feeling if you’ve been struggling to grow your business, and have read this far, you might already have a sneaking suspicion of where in your life you need to refocus your attention.

For the sake of your GROWTH, what TRUTH do you need to now speak or do something about so that you can put yourself back on the right track? You deserve to live your best life. Don’t be afraid of doing everything you need to do to make your dreams a reality.
