Easy Methods How to Remove Ink Stains - Part Two

In part one of the article, you have read why it is much better to use a home made natural cleaner than to buy a commercial one and how to try and remove the stain with some rubbing alcohol. If the stain, however, is stubborn, read this part of the article to learn other, more aggressive, methods how to remove ink stains: If you weren't able to remove the stain with the rubbing alcohol, cleaners in Sydney say you can now try and use some nail polish remover. However, you should know that it is a very harsh solution, so before you apply it on the stain, make sure you test it on a small and inconspicuous area of the garment. If it is safe to use a nail polish remover on the fabric, then put a cloth again under the stain and apply the nail polish remover. After that work the same as with the rubbing alcohol – rub the solution in, move the cloth unde eath. Work until the stain is gone or no more can be removed. If the stain is gone, launder the garment and air dry it, if it is still there, rinse off the nail polish remover and continue to the next method. If neither rubbing alcohol, nor nail polish remover work, try and use some undiluted acetone. For this method, however, cleaners Sydney say you also need to wear rubber gloves, because it might irritate your skin. Do not use it on acetate and rayon fibres. Again, put a towel under the stain, apply the acetone on the stain and rub it in with a sponge or a cloth. Move the stain over a clean part of the towel and work until the stain is gone or no more can be removed. Then, again, if the stain is gone, launder the garment and air dry it, if it is still there, rinse off the acetone and continue on reading. Make sure that no acetone is left on the fabric. If nothing managed to remove the stain, which might happen very rarely if the stain is from a permanent marker or something like that, cleaners Sydney say you can consider hiding the stain. You can do that by decorating it with an embroidery or a patch. An other way to hide it is to draw something with the same pen which stained your garment. This way an ugly stain can become a nice personal decoration.
