During our IB revision course, you will work on areas which will improve your chances of success in your exams. The areas we focus on are: syllabus review, exam technique and exam practice.
Syllabus review helps us learn how well you understand your subject content. Your teacher will cover the content and you can feel free to ask for any help with anything you don’t fully understand.
Our workshop will focus on the areas that you identified as being a conce
in your pre-course questionnaire. As well as these areas, your teacher will help point out additional areas which are potentially critical to you reaching your desired grades.
We cover the core syllabus, pointing out the areas which are likely to pop up in the exam.
Exam technique has proven to be a huge success with students. You could know all the subject matter you need to, but if you are unable to answer the questions thoroughly and to the examiners standards, you will let yourself down. You need to be achieving the highest possible marks for every question.
Our teachers will provide you with methods which will improve your grades. You will also find that these techniques will boost your confidence and increase your positivity towards the exam. You will begin to understand the difference between analytical questions and evaluative questions. Knowing the difference can boost your marks dramatically.
Exam practice consists of you sitting a mock exam on your second day of your IB revision course. We can then look at how you cope in an exam setting and how you answer the questions. By being given face to face, honest feedback, we hope that you take everything your teacher says on board and improve.
At the end of your IB revision course, your parents/guardians will receive a report from your teacher. They will be told your strengths and weaknesses and what areas you need to work on before your upcoming exams. You will also receive advice to help you create your own revision plan that is needed to be the best for your exams.
