We've all learned things about information that turns out not to be true, health and fitness facts and myths are no different really. Myths often occur when the person doesn't get the whole tip before sharing with someone else on and on and on it goes truthful or not it's still a rumor. Maybe they even didn't hear it right. But they innocently tell something they know, and another myth is born, again. If the person giving you the tip is one of authority you are more likely to take that tip as gospel. The lies you might hear can cause you physical pain if you don't have all of the details or the tip you get is wrong altogether. You've probably heard the statement about metabolism boosts and the length they can last, this is not always a full truth. This statement is semi true in that you will not continue to experience calorie burn after the workout even though your metabolism might be on the upper end of the scale. You'll probably notice that this happens because the untruth of the statement is prevalent in that the boost in metabolism doesn't last nearly as long as many say it should. The fact is that these increases in metabolic rate are not significant enough to affect calorie burn. Everyone has heard that regular exercise can help you have more energy. This is true and is one of the many benefits of regular exercise. Those that exercise in the morning report feeling energized during the rest of the day. One of the many reasons for this is increased blood circulation. Increased circulation leads to your cells receiving more oxygen. Related to that is your strength and stamina will improve with working out. You will naturally feel like you have more energy if you have more stamina. One truth about fitness exercises is they are great for your mental horsepower. What we are talking about here is the fact that your brain will increase in power and performance. Regular exercise has been proven to increase circulation. This circulation increase will help produce increased serotonin levels in the brain. Mental clarity is one benefit of increased serotonin levels. We think that is pretty fascinating and certainly a good thing. Whether or not what you are reading is true is really in the eye of the beholder, do your research. In fact, it is in your very best interest to do so. Since you are ready to exert the energy and time, it's important that you know what you are doing. You will experience better results if you do the research first.
