15th Day of Lent – The Quality of Will

The 8th quality required for us to achieve higher consciousness is WILL. nnQuoting Fillmore: "The will is the executive power of the mind. The commandments of Jesus teach the Father's will. Those who keep them are therefore at one with the will of God.... We can never fully enter into and abide in heaven , or divine harmony, without surrendering all that makes up the personality, of which the will is the center."nnnnIllustration taken from: C.W. Heaven is a state of consciousness so surrendered to the divine will that suffering is no more ... all is light and love. nnQuoting Fillmore: "When man wills the will of God to be done, he forms spiritual character.... Spirit breathes into such an individual continually the necessary inspiration and knowledge to give him superior understanding."nnQuoting TWELVE POWERS IN YOU: "WILL is my ability to be willing toward God. Will is the executive faculty of my mind. I am God's executive. I am the CEO of my life enterprise. I am the one who can get the job done with God..... I have executive power over how God's limitless good is managed and allocated in my life.... Will is the spiritual power that enables me to do things. I make executive decisions and then I ... carry out those decisions.... [Some examples]: nI WILL successfully run the business of my life. nI WILL be prosperous. nI WILL make it through school. nI WILL for the good in myself and others."nnQuoting TWELVE POWERS IN YOU: "Remember, GOD'S WILL IS ALWAYS GOOD - WILL---A DESIRE THAT ONLY THE VERY HIGHEST GOOD COMES TO ME, TO YOU, AND TO ALL PEOPLE. [God's will is NEVER my good over the good of others.] At the same time, you and I have 'free will.' I can will---choose and do---that which rejects my good. For example, I may try to operate strictly on my own, to hurt myself or others. Or, I can co--operate with my Higher Power-Partner [God's Will] and flourish, prosper, and find fulfillment in amazing ways. Our power of WILL needs to be strong and directed by the highest and best that is in us. Being of strong will, however, does not mean that we are to impose our will on others.... The idea of giving up the will to God's will should not include the thought of weakening it, or causing it to become in any way less; it properly means that the will is being instructed how to act for the best.... When we pray 'Thy Will Be Done,' we are asking to be a channel for Infinite Good to pour through us out to humanity and the world at large. Through our power of will, we can take charge of our lives, make sound and clear decisions, and follow them up with decisive action that is positive and productive." nnGOD IS ABSOLUTE LOVE; THEREFORE, GOD'S WILL IS THAT ABSOLUTE LOVE UNFOLD IN OUR LIVES ... IN OUR TREATMENT OF OTHERS.nnGOD---AS ABSOLUTE LOVE---LEAVES NO ROOM FOR WAR, VIOLENCE, GREED, OR ANY IDEOLOGY THAT EXCLUDES ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. nnTHEREFORE, WE ALLOW GOD'S DIVINE WILL TO UNFOLD IN OUR LIVES AS WE SEEK TO CREATE A WORLD IN WHICH EVERY HUMAN BEING MAY FLOURISH. IN THIS WAY, WE BECOME GOD'S WILL IN ACTION FOR THE GOOD OF ALL HUMANITY.nnMEDITATE ON THE ABOVE ILLUSTRATION ... WALKING IN GOD'S WILL IS TO WALK IN THE CENTER OF ABSOLUTE LOVE ...
