Having an entrepreneurial spirit, I believe by staying focused in spite of those bumps in the road and putting your ideas into action is the ultimate test of fortitude I feel. It is important to make your dreams a reality whatever that dream is. I spoke with my brother yesterday who has type 2 diabetes. He has been battling diabetes for quite awhile with back surgery and Neuropathy including Gastroparesis.

It’s a up downer kind of thing some days are good and some days are not so good. The main thing he had difficulties with was keeping his blood pressure and sugar level maintained. Just in the last 2 years his sight has left him. He is strong in spite of all the obstacles he’s been faced with. The best news now is that he has been maintaining that blood pressure and staying active with the unconditional support from my mom. He recently enrolled in school learning to become independent again and reading Braille so things are looking up. He told me it was tough at first but with his photographic memory it’s a plus.

Formerly a truck driver, he always had the ability to know without guessing where he was going no matter what state he was in, I would call and ask him for directions from a thousand miles away…lol Going to school has changed him to be the motivator in his class. He told me that giving more than receiving was the secret to longevity in anything that you pursue.

What I learned in this conversation was being diligent in the midst of adversity and accomplishing new goals that you didn’t intend make your dreams more worthwhile.
