Former professional hockey player and Narconon Trois-Rivieres spokesperson, Claude Lapointe has joined the fight against drugs. Mr. Lapointe has signed on to help raise awareness about drug addiction, and help educate today’s youth concerning the truth about drugs. Claude will also be donating his time to help fundraise for drug awareness and prevention. Working along the drug prevention team of Narconon Trois-Rivieres drug rehab, he will be attending some of the drug prevention lectures being presented by them. Claude will also be working along side community relation’s liaison Carole Arvisais, and will help make the local community more aware that Narconon Trois-Rivieres will do everything possible to promote living a drug free life. Having a former NHL hockey player work within the very communities he played in and started his career is an absolute honour. Claude sets a great example for young people today, especially those whom are playing hockey, or starting out in the game. Drugs and professional sports do not mix, and will not get you anywhere. With so many young athletes today working to achieve professional success, it is important these young people receive drug awareness that can save their lives. The stress of playing sports both professionally and as amateur can cause many people to have a difficult time to deal with situations in their life. We want the youth of today to be able to chase their dreams knowing they can prevent the influence of drugs from potentially destroying their life. It is an exciting time here at Narconon Trois-Rivieres, and we are happy to be able to spread such a positive message. With the help of dedicated and caring people like Claude Lapointe and all the dedicated staff at Narconon Trois-Rivieres, we can and will achieve our goal for a drug free Canada.
