You can use specific creams and lotions prescribed by a doctor or do what many individuals are doing these days and use natural alternatives as a form of treatment. We know that modern medicine contains chemicals and drugs and many people are moving away from using prescribed drugs when they can get treatment the natural and safer way. When your skin is dry and not moisturized, eczema will be at its worse. You should moisten the affected area so that your skin can heal. Using tamnu oil can create a lining on your skin which will stop the moisture from escaping and your skin from drying up. Tamanu oil also helps to relieve the itching sensation by moisturizing the skin. Supplements are also a good direction to move to, Vitamin E is good for your skin and can also help you get rid of your eczema as Vitamin E actually boosts your immune system to help it heal itself. Many moisturizers and emollients may contain some natural ingredients that are affective against eczema but in some emollients, you will not find moisturizing qualities that are available in most creams. The good thing about moisturizers are that they are available everywhere and can easily be accessed. You should read the labels to ensure you are getting a moisturizer that is made from natural ingredients and not full of chemicals. It is a good idea to keep away from things you know will irritate your eczema, such things that you are allergic to, such as food and certain chemicals and even materials that are used to make clothing such as wool. These things can trigger an irritation that can easily come in the form of eczema.
