In the goal setting world, there is a vast difference between the achievers and the non-achievers. The achieves turn their dreams into reality, the non achievers...well...don't!
If you have ever wondered what it takes to be a great goal setter. then this article is for you. Inside we provide five habits that great goal setters have. The good news is once you know the habits you can follow them and become a great goal setter too!
1. Positive Thinker: Good goal setters are positive thinkers. They don't look at the bad things around them, or things that have happened in the past. They think positively towards the future, and look for new opportunities.
2. Strong time management skills: They control their time and don't let their time control them. They write to-do-lists and always allow time to work on their goals.
3. Flexible: Good goal setters know that they need to be flexible to succeed. While they plan their days, their schedule is not set in concrete. Other prioritise come up during the day, and they allow time and re-prioritise for these tasks. There goals are set in concrete but their plans are set in sand.
4. Challenges: Good goal setters like challenges...period! They don't set goals that are too easy to achieve, rather they set goals that are just out of their reach. They know that with challenge comes growth and opportunity.
5. Research: Good goal setters are great researches. They don't just write high level goals and hope they achieve them. They undertake in-depth research and speak to mentors to ascertain specifically what they need to do.
While there are a lot of habits that make a great goal setter, the five above are the most important to know. If you follow these you will fast track yourself to success!
