Hair loss is as big a problem as ever for both men and women. With the economy in a downturn, making a great first impression is key. Looking good, and feeling good - not to mention confidence -is even more important in this distressed economic environment.

Alopecia, or hair loss happens for a variety of reasons, most of which are out of our control. Losing 50-100 hairs per day is normal, but not growing them back presents a bit of a problem. It seems that due to stress, genetics, diet,, and a variety of other factors, hair loss is on the rise, not the decline. On the face of it, this isn't good news, but there is hope.

For decades, hair loss treatments have existed that have offered an array of approaches to dealing with various follicle challenges. From strange tonics to wigs or toupees, and even unnatural looking hair plugs that weren't fooling anyone.

Hair loss treatments, fortunately, have come a long way, and with the help of the latest technologies, a person doesn't have to accept being bald or thinning anymore. For men, as well as women, all one has to do is peruse the Internet to see what options are available today.

Many claim to offer the "ultimate solution," which, of course, is whatever that particular company is selling. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that since everyone's different, it would be pretty unlikely this "one size fits all" approach would really be effective across the board.

Only a few companies, such as Hair Club (http://www.hairclub.com), formerly known as Hair Club for Men, offer a wide variety of proven hair loss and hair growth treatments personalized to the individual.

Treatments can vary from the simple, to the more scientific, depending on what the customer is hoping to achieve. Hair Club begins the process with a free, private consultation, where the customer visits with hair loss specialists and goes over his or her options.

These options may vary from FDA-approved products like Minoxidil designed to stimulate hair growth in targeted areas, to adding a virtually undetectable matrix of real human hair integrated in with an individual's own hair, to the popular medical solution of hair transplantation surgery offered through an established network of specially trained physicians.

The surgical option of today is much more technologically advanced than it was even 5 years ago. Single follicular units of 1 to 4 hairs each are taken from a donor strip on the back of a person's head where the hair is usually the thickest and healthiest. The follicular units are separated using microscopes and transplanted one follicular unit at a time onto the top and front of the head, wherever hair is thinning. Transplanting these individual hairs creates a much more natural-looking hairline.

This modern approach provides the best results.

With a new head of hair, and renewed confidence, people experiencing hair loss are able to walk into that big job interview and land that new job.
