Take Time for You
Depression can take a toll on your self-esteem and self-worth. If you are feeling down, you must make time in your day to pamper yourself. Make yourself a hot bath with candles and enjoy a glass of wine. Go get your nails done and buy yourself a fancy coffee. Whatever it takes to make you smile and feel a little better. When we are happy we release serotonin so treating yourself to small treats helps to give you a burst of it and elevates your mood.
Stay on a Schedule
When you are going through a depressive episode it is easy to just sleep away your whole day because depression makes you feel exhausted. Sleep Schedule
Speaking of schedules keeping yourself on a sleep schedule is very important. Your body needs to be sleep trained and keeping it on schedule helps to achieve that. Do not lay in your bed and watch tv or anything else if you suffer from mental health issues this can greatly affect your sleeping schedule. It can cause you to have severe insomnia which will negatively affect your mood. Your brain needs to associate your bed with only sleep.
