The *wind* which moves us in a specific direction in our life causes us to be who we are (our essence of being).
What is it that motivates an individual to do what he or she does? The *wind*, or motivation, comes from *motive*, or something (as a need or desire) that causes a person to act.
Our principles, or a comprehensive and fundamental law, doctrine or assumption, creates each new beginning, or start period, when we take on a different direction or changed/ modified/corrected direction, with the hope to end up in a different place (a better place) prior to our life's end.
"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it" said George Santiana. The steps that a child goes through in the growing up process are similar to the steps which the adult experiences. We deny experiences, OR we learn, make corrections, and improve ourselves out of those same experiences.
From out of the 1960's, we heard "Today is the First day of the Rest of your life." In truth, you can't do anything about what was said or done yesterday. We are always getting New Beginnings. A chance to begin afresh ... rethink in a new way ... an opportunity. As is each person you meet ... an opportunity to influence them for the better. To be a benefit to them.
A gift is not a gift just because you want to give it. It only is a gift when someone wants to receive it.
The things you've done in the past definitely do have an impact on your life. It is best to think of what happened yesterday (how it happened), and then grow past that ... positively affecting the lives of other people from your own growth.
It has to begin today. If you wait for tomorrow, it may not come. nnn
