Every time I would hear that to be successful in business, "you have to have a vision" I felt like I was missing something. I thought everyone else had some secret, super-cool way of laying out their business goals, and that somehow, my way probably wasn't good enough.nnThat is, until I kept seeing my business blossom right before my eyes, with every goal met or exceeded.nnWith that in mind, I decided that even though my business vision system might not be as "formal" as others, it certainly worked! Which is why I'm sharing four of the very same steps I use to keep adding as much as 300% to my 1ncome every year.nnWhat I think you'll really love is how SIMPLE this system is. No fancy charts or graphs, so it's the perfect system for creative entrepreneurs like you and me, who want to create a compelling plan, without ignoring the wisdom of their intuition.nnStep #1 You Gotta Feel It, Baby!nnThe whole point of a powerful vision is that it pulls you forward, which means if you're not feeling the love, it's not going to work.nnSo scrap trying to play it safe and declare what it is you really, truly want. You'll know you've hit it if you feel scared, thrilled, excited and terrified all at the same time. Trust me, those feelings are your inner guidance telling you you're on the right track with your business purpose!nnStep #2 Connect With Your Bigger "Why"nnTo be powerful, your vision must be grounded in a deep, emotional connection to what moves you. So tell me, WHY is this so important? nnDon't judge your reasons, thinking they're too mundane or selfish. When I'm coaching my Platinum clients on their vision, they're often moved to tears at the thought of affording the best schools and lifestyle experiences for their kids, or at helping their family, or in creating an awesome retirement for themselves and their loved ones.nnThe point isn't whether your bigger "why" is important enough to someone else, but is it important enough to you?!nnStep #3 Is It Clear Enough That Even A Ten Year Old Would Understand It? nnThere's nothing like vague descriptions to sink a vision before January of the new year is even over. To avoid this from happening to you, test out your vision by speaking it out loud, as if to a ten year old. You'll not only get past the "I can't believe I'm about to publicly declare this" jitters, you'll also get crystal clear on precisely what it is you want to achieve. nnStep #4 Make It MeasurablennMost visions fall apart because they're vague about the end result. When we designed our new home, I had a clear vision of the house's style, and that everywhere you looked, you would see a custom, artistic touch. Now that our home is finished, guests are amazed and always comment on the amount of detail and thoughtfulness that clearly went into the design.nnThe same must be true for your vision. Clearly define what it will look like when it's achieved. Then you'll know what steps (think of these are your goals) to take to accomplish it.nnGoals Get You To Your Vision But It's Your Vision That Fulfills Your Soul's Divine Purpose™ Via A Successful Business!nnNow it's time to put it all together. Set a timer for twelve minutes and write out, as fast as you can, what your vision is, your bigger why and how you'll know you've accomplished it.nnIf you're not sure where to start, then begin by giving yourself permission to write anything you want, without fear of censure or judgment, and complete this sentence:nn"If I were handed a magic lamp that when rubbed, would release three wishes, each designed to express my heart's desire, I would wish ..."nnThese twelve minutes could be the most important time you spend this year. Do this exercise now and the emotional connection and clear design of your vision will powerfully serve you throughout the coming months!
