How to attain higher levels of success

There is a higher realm of life beyond what you currently experience. There are higher levels of success, joy, spirituality, love, prosperity and fulfillment that you are yet to attain. The good news is that these higher levels are available to every individual, including you. These levels aren’t reserved for a select few. But as with other things in life, what qualifies or disqualifies you are the actions you take and the actions you fail to take.

One reason why many are not as high up as they could be is that they fail to pay the price required. This stems from the way we look at things.

A tree takes years to attain its final height. It took about fifteen to twenty years for you to attain you current physical height. You needed many years of education, formal and informal, to attain your level of literacy. Even though these are among the most significant milestones in your life, you hardly ever count them among your greatest achievements. This is because they were gradually attained.

Life gives us time to develop. Sometimes this development is so slow that it is imperceptible. But over a period, we observe that inch by inch, letter by letter, and precept by precept, you become the giant and genius that you are meant to be; if you don’t stop developing.

For many of us, we keep developing as long as life keeps compelling us to. We keep learning as long as we are within academic systems. We keep growing as long as there is an exte
al push. This continues until we attain some sort of equilibrium. Thereafter, many lose the desire to learn, grow and advance and begin to coast. To be put more accurately, we do not really lose the desire to grow. Rather we lose the drive to take commensurate actions that will ensure that we develop.

The moment many of us stop paying the price for development, we begin to see the things we need to do in order to advance as large and difficult. These tasks ultimately take on the form of the proverbial Goliath who single handedly stood the entire Israelite army up until a young boy who later became Israel’s greatest king decided to take a step out against him.

You need to realize what your equilibrium is. You need to recognize what has become your Goliath. You need to realize that these thing have the principal objective of causing you to orbit at a constant radius. By constraining you, they try to keep you from attaining the higher levels that are open to you. You need to break out of this orbit.

Even though it may seem that a lot is required to break out of your current orbit, this is not really so. All you have to do is return to your winning formula.

Take one more step every day. Learn one more thing every day. Do one more thing every day. Drop one more bad habit every day. Pick up a good habit time and again. Improve on your approach. Make a conscious decision to be better tomorrow than you are today. Keep moving. Keep dreaming. Keep daring. And in time you will come to realize that you have slowly moved to larger orbits of success, greatness and satisfaction.
