How to Make Porcupine Meatballs With an Oven

Everyone is always looking for new cheap and easy recipes that they can wow their friends and family with. If you are also looking for one, here is another recipe that you can add to your arsenal just in case the next house party comes along and you are out of ideas. Porcupine meatballs are fun and a very festive snack or meal that you can serve during just about any occasions.
Here are the things that you are going to need. You should have one pound ground beef, one cup uncooked white rice, half a cup of water, a third of a cup of chopped onions, a teaspoon of salt, an eighth of a teaspoon of garlic powder, an eighth of a teaspoon of white pepper, one large can of tomato sauce and two teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.
The first thing that you are going to have to do is to preheat your oven at 350o F. This is important because once you put your dish in, it will take less time to cook since the oven is readily on the desired heat level. If you do not preheat your oven, then, the dish might not cook the right way.
After doing the preheating, you would now want to start with the dish itself. You should start by mixing the rice in with half a cup of water in a bowl. After doing so, add in the onion, the salt, the garlic powder and the pepper. Be sure to mix all these ingredients with each other very well.
After all of that mixing, scoop out tablespoon sizes of the mixture onto your hand. Shape each of the mixtures into a little ball. It does not really have to be perfect. It just has to be roughly the same size with each other. Of course, it has to be in the shape of a ball in order for them to be meatballs.
When all the shaping is done and over with, place each and every meatball onto an eight by eight baking sheet. While doing so, this would be the perfect time to smooth out any odd pieces and adjust the sizes. Remember, they do not have to be perfectly alike but it looks nicer when they look generally the same way.
When everything is the way you want it to be, mix the tomato sauce and the Worcestershire sauce together in a bowl. Keep stirring until they are completely emulsified and then, carefully pour this mixture over the meatballs you placed on the baking sheet earlier.
Cover the baking sheet and place it inside the oven. Let the meatballs bake for about 45 minutes. Afterwards, remove the lid and let it bake for 15 more minutes. When everything is done, you can now enjoy your very own porcupine meatballs.
