The choices available when looking at children's luggage are vast and wonderful. There are rucksacks of various sizes, colours and patterns, carry-on pieces that look just like mum and dad's and little wheeled cases of all descriptions. Trunkis, however, are unique in this category. Trunkis are not only hard-sided wheeled suitcases, but they are ride-on toys as well! Trunkis are the first children's suitcases that double as ride-on toys. Designed so that children are able to pack away their clothes and then enjoy the case as a ride-on, Trunkis are sure to entertain while waiting for the next leg of the journey to begin! Trunkis are made of a durable, lightweight plastic with a moulded saddle shape on top that is perfect for sitting on. Four wheels are set into the bottom and the bottom front features a stabilizer to prevent tipping. There are also two hand holds on the front so that toddlers have something to hang on to as they scoot around. Trunkis have webbing handles so that slightly older children may also carry their cases. In addition, there is a longer strap so that either children can pull their own Trunki, or parents can pull children sitting on their Trunki! In a hurry this strap can also be used to sling the Trunki over mum or dad's shoulder. Trunkis are perhaps one of the most practical of ride on toys, as they also double as a fully functioning piece of luggage. Trunkis feature a rubber rim to protect little fingers, elasticized packing straps, an id tag and every child's favourite, a secret compartment! Please do keep in mind that Trunkis are only approved as hand luggage. Trunkis come in a variety of bright colour palettes. The blue 'Terrence' and pink 'Trixie' Trunkis are joined by 'Tipu' the orange and black tiger and 'Bernard' the bee, as well as a host of others. Trunkis can be found at several online and instore locations, including John Lewis and kiddicare.com, and retail between 25 an 40. Some parents may think that it would just be easier to pack their children's belongings into their own larger suitcases. Which may be true, but travelling can be trying for even the most even-keeled soul, and frustrated families often end in tears. Small children love to climb and ride on things, and rather than having to keep children off things not meant to be ridden on, giving them their own ride-on case may be a simpler option! By giving children their very own trunki suitcase that they can not only pack themselves, but ride on and play with as well, parents can help make travelling perhaps a little smoother. Globe-trotting tots will be thrilled to have a special friend to bring along with them!
