How to Monitor Your Social Media Strategy

No Social Media marketing strategy is complete without discussing monitoring. While it is obvious you should monitor your ROI (Return on Investment), it is equally important to monitor what is being said about your business, brand and products.
Given the vastness of the Internet, you need an efficient way of collecting the information.
1. Write out exactly what you want to monitor – remember to be specific. You do not want to receive information that does not pertain to you.
2. Be prepared to address praise, referrals and positive comments.
3. Have a plan ready to deal with poor reviews and negative comments.
4. Using Google Alerts To Monitor your Brand and enter your search terms and frequency.
5. Have a system in place for someone to check the monitored phrases.
6. Consider one of the many monitoring systems to streamline the process.
Monitoring and responding do not need to be a time-intensive task. However, it does need to be done on a regular basis. If you are unable to give it the attention it deserves, consider hiring a virtual assistant to do this for you.
This is not something you should overlook. The long-term well-being of your brand and business may depend on it.
