It is ridiculous to do the same thing again and again but expecting different results.nnFor a change in your result outcome, you have to change first.nnShould I be Domineering in the relationship? nMy answer to that question is a big YES. Listen…I say domineering and not controlling. Not more power. nnDomineering is about who wins the argument every time. Domineering is not about who has more ‘power’ in all matters. Domineering is not about ‘taking’ things from your partner all the time.nnDomineering in this sense is more about YOU having the ability to:n- inspiren- create happinessn- create sense of securityn- create sense of belongingn- the power to remain calmn- the power to create calmn- the power to build your partner’s dignityn- the power to build your partner’s valuen- relate to others positivelynnYou must be committed to solving the problemnnOnce you have made up your mind that saving the relationship is your goal, you must be really committed to solving the problem. Sometimes, in the process of solving the problem, you will need to come to terms or accept some facts that can be painful or bitter. You must focus on the solution and do not get carried away by being emotional. You must learn to embrace faults, shortcomings and anything that was the reason why the relationship was in trouble. Always believe that for the relationship to work, it has to start with ME.n
