How to Unleash your Creative Thinking,
for Ideas that PAY-Off.
By Steven Donnini
In our highly competitive world, we become more valuable as “Human Capital” if we can solve problems, or overcome obstacles at work and play. Creating new products and services becomes a valuable attribute of an employee, or team member, when they can think creatively on demand. In fact, one idea can change an entire industry, or change the game plan. There are many theories about how creativity works in the human mind, but what matters is what really works.
First, we need to identify what slows, or stops creative thinking and how we can overcome the obstacles that are invisible to us. This is a very rewarding process, because vast rewards come from opportunities to create something that works better, or solves a problem. We can validate that idea in everyday life when we see new communication devices, computers, video games, medicines and different forms of entertainment.
We take creativity seriously, because there are serious consequences to having great ideas. No silly mind games, or stupid jokes will change how we think about the things that make us ridged in our thinking, or intolerant of chaos and ambiguity. This is something we must address on an unconscious emotional level, because that’s where the best ideas originate. It’s just on the other side of our ridged and intolerant thinking. Rigidity and intolerant thinking are the invisible road blocks to better ideas.
How can we get past these blocks and open a pathway to the unconscious mind where most ideas originate? It’s in the unconscious mind where we create dreams that can be amazing, and yet hard to remember when we wake up. When you think you have little, or no creative ability just think about your dreams. Where do they come from without your unconsciousness? Our experience shows how our minds can solve a problem with an answer we didn’t expect. An idea will pop into our consciousness. At first you may say, “How crazy is that?” Because the idea must get past some very strong and rigid beliefs we have learned. These beliefs can be the road blocks that prevent the creative thinking we need. We can change the beliefs and become comfortable with the experience of using our unconscious to help us in this way, so that ideas will flow more easily.
We can agree that creative thinking is a natural survival skill. Humans have been using creativity for millions of years in making useful things from naturally occurring items found all around, like wood, metal, glass and earth. No one can deny that these natural things are valuable. They make our lives more complete. So, way back before recorded time, someone picked up a cracked rock and saw the sharp edge. What can I do with this? Then early man discovered many ways to use the sharp edge of the rock. Over time man adapted natural raw materials to useful tools. In many different ways, man has evolved to run on auto pilot. In our conscious state we can only think about one thing at a time. But, we have a very powerful unconscious mind working at all times, 24/7. It’s a gold mine of ideas that can now be explored.
Now you have the first proven practical guide to create, develop, test and sell ideas from Your Imagination that Pay-off.
