If we define the word ‘inspection’, the exact meaning of it is “a formal or official examination”. Inspection includes measurements, estimates and examination to decide whether uniqueness of a particular object or any activity is upto its pre-decided standards or not. nnInspection is a must at each and every stage and level of society to make sure that laws and regulations are enforced as reasonably and proficiently as possible to ensure safety and security of each and everyone. Hence carrying inspection is not all destructive. One should have inspections at different stages of purchase such as pre-purchase and post-purchase of products. nnThere are many types of Goods inspections but lets talk about most popular onesnn1. Pre-shipment Inspections (PSI)nThis type of inspections is done for goods once they are packed for export and before they leave the factory. nn2. During Production Inspection (DUPRO)nDUPRO is carried out to check processes, specifications, packaging, pack and labels on the production floor within the manufacturing process nn3. Initial Production Check (IPC)nThis type of inspections is carried out during the stage of production start up to check for defects or problems in the process, the components, the materials, packaging and overall product quality.nn4. Container Loading Checks (CLC)nAs the name itself tells the story, inspector checks quality, quantity, product and packaging specifications prior to loading into container. It also includes monitoring of loading process, making sure good are properly loaded in the container.nnThe inspectors are well-trained guys who are entrusted with the job of assessing and generating reports. As this type of inspections enforces everyone to abide by the rules and regulations, hence inspection in time reduces a lot of unnecessary expenses. In today’s arena of Internet and multimedia, inspections can be performed online, which in turns saves time and money. nnThe main reason behind carrying inspection of each and every product is to make sure that its safety standards remains high both at public and personal level. At the time of investigation, if the inspection officer finds that the standard of quality is low, preventive measures are taken immediately.
