How You Can Really Boost The Power Of Positive Thinking The power of positive thinking is all the craze, and for very good reason. Our thoughts just may be the most powerful force known to the human race. From the moment we wake up in the morning until we fall into deep sleep, thoughts are firing in our minds at a consistent rate, influencing our every choice of action. The Law of Attraction even goes, as far as to claim, that which we focus our thoughts on is that which we create in our realities. There are times when we wish we could turn our thoughts off completely and I truly understand this, but lets face it, our thoughts are here to stay and continue on. Even with the practice of meditation, we must return to our thoughts eventually in order to function in life. So what can we do when our thoughts appear to be working against our goals to achieve happiness? The first step is to become aware of our thoughts and the nature of our thoughts, whether they are of a positive nature or a negative nature. This step may appear to be something that is obvious, but most of us have gone through our entire lives completely unaware of our thoughts and how they are affecting our lives. This awareness can create a very profound observation into discovering new options for achieving our goals. After becoming aware of our thoughts, the next step is to flag those negative thoughts and transform them into positive thoughts. How do I do this, you ask? Its pretty simple actually. When you have a thought that says that you, someone else, or something else cannot, will not, or is not good enough; or a thought that suppresses happiness in any way, pause for a moment and create a new thought that is the exact opposite of the original thought. Here is an example: "I just can't seem to make the changes I want in my life." Pause. Create a new thought. "I can make the changes I want in my life and I will make an improvement each day" Notice how I added onto the positive thought? You can add on as many positive thoughts as you want, and I highly suggest that you do, because each add-on will reinforce the original positive thought. Another example: "Susan is late for work everyday and it really angers me." Pause. Create a new thought. "Susan's actions and choices do not need to affect me. Its possible that there are personal things happening in Susan's life that I am not aware of. I hope she is OK." Notice how the new line of thought feels better. The point is not to judge whether another person's actions are right or wrong, but to create a thought that feels better and brings you towards happiness. Now that we've created an awareness of our thoughts and have an idea of how to transform negative thoughts into new positive thoughts, it is time to super-charge our thinking to motivate us beyond anything we have ever felt from our thinking before. We start by recognizing that our thoughts have a voice. That's right, every thought that appears in our minds has a voice we call our inner voice. Take a moment to have a few thoughts and become aware of the sound of your inner voice. The sound of our inner voice is the key to really magnifying the impact of our positive thoughts. The sound I am referring to is the tonality, or the tone of our inner voice. By adjusting the tonality of our inner voice, we can maximize the power of our positive thinking. This is best understood by example. Create the thought: "Today is a good day and I'm going to have fun." Now have this thought, but slow the thought down and adjust the tonality of this thought to a very low, deep tone. Notice how a low tonality takes power and feeling away from this positive thought. As a matter of fact, when doing this, this positive thought has no effect on you at all. Now have this same thought, but speed it up and adjust the tonality of this thought to a very high tone. Notice how a high tonality creates energy and motivation within this positive thought, as if you want to jump out of your seat and have fun today. Notice how you actually feel something when adjusting the tone of your inner voice higher. Lets look at another example. This is one you can use everyday. Create the thought: "Its time to get out of bed and start my day." Now have this thought, but slow the thought down and adjust the tonality of this thought to a very low, deep tone. Notice how a low tonality takes power and feeling away from this positive thought. Many of us start our day like this. No wonder why its so hard to get moving in the morning. Now have this same thought, but speed it up and adjust the tonality of this thought to a very high tone. Notice how a high tonality creates energy and motivation within this positive thought, as if you are excited to jump out of bed and discover what fantastic adventures await you in the day ahead. Imagine waking up everyday, ready to go and feeling good about it. Play around with these techniques and have fun with it. Create new positive thoughts and adjust the tonality of your inner voice from low to high so you can feel the difference this makes in how you feel. You'll be amazed at how quickly your life improves and the amount of energy these simple skills create. Enjoy!
