Letting Go of Intention

Question:nnI have been trying to manifest my desires and getting nowhere. I have always believed in positive thinking and last year read the law of attraction and thought that took positive thinking a step further. I can't get it to work for me. I have tried to keep my thoughts on what I am trying to manifest and not be discouraged because it is not happening. Then I discovered your web site and now one of your books “The Book of Secrets” and you believe in 'letting go'. I just don't get this. I am trying to manifest my desires by keeping my intention clear and foremost in my mind. If I let it go and give it up to the Universe, have I not just given up on my desires? I can't connect this to concepts in my mind and I don't know how to let go. Can you clarify this for me?n nAnswer:n nLetting go of your intention means that you are returning to the simple awareness of your silent self. This experience is cultured through meditation. So you may want to do your manifestation practice right after meditation.n nThe other thing to keep in mind about letting go, or detachment is far from giving up on your desires, it is really the only way for your intention to fully manifest. When we say we want to manifest through our intention, we are implying that we want the forces of the Nature to be attracted to our desire and support it into manifestation. If we hold on to our desire with our conditioned awareness, then we are preventing the universal powers to be attracted to our intention and bring it to fruition.n nIt’s like wanting to use the wind to fly your kite, but not letting go of it on the ground, or wanting the flow of the stream carry your boat downstream, but being unwilling to let go of it.n nLove,nDeepak
