Most people tend to think one of two extremes; the first is that EVERYTHING that happens to us is caused by us; the other is that NOTHING that happens to us is caused by us.nnBeing someone that believes mostly we create our own reality by thoughts and words, I believe it's supported by even Biblical text. One verse for example says that the power of life and death is in the tongue. If that's how God creates, why wouldn't he make us that way too, since we are in his image? The problem I see is that many people get trapped in the belief that GOD is causing and creating EVERYTHING in our lives, and we must just accept it, and ask HIM to change it rather than recognize He gave US that power.nnIf "thoughts are things;" it changes everything...and it explains the profound power of prayer AND worry. Most of the time it's US that need to change before our situation will. nnAlong with that I'm recognizing that most things that happen are neither bad or good...we often think (without thinking about it) that:nn...when times are tough it's bad, andn...when times are easy, it's good.nnI'm really getting the understanding that~ nnIT'S ALL GOOD!nnWhen times are hard - that's when we grow and become more than we thought we could be, if we recognize it's temporary.nn....and when times are easy; if we appreciate that it's temporary- we can fully enjoy it, still grow and yet not get fat and lazy, and use those times for massive good instead of personal indulgence.nnThat's actually the more difficult task, because growth is almost mandatory in hard times for survival, but who doesn't want to just relax and enjoy when things are easy?nnThis shift in my view of the world has given me almost a outside, observational view of my own trials of life. We all have them and go through them, and we get caught up in them. At this moment I'm in a major adjustment period, but I'm choosing to view it as a challenge or adventure. I wish I could say I am detached all the time and it's no big deal, but that's not being honest. Some days you just have to refocus and let the growth happen. It doesn't always happen by trying to be positive and upbeat; sometimes you have to grieve and just be where you are. That's when we start to change, and grow, and move forward, through the emotions and the circumstances.nnOur nation as a whole is going through really rough times. It's great to be connected to a community of positive minded people like Selfgrowth.com and Quattrospace.com; people who are committed to be a force for good and contribute to raising the bar and changing our world.
