It’s not uncommon to feel like you need a vacation after the vacation, because it took the entire vacation to wind down and begin to relax and let go of all the baggage from work and the stresses of life. So plan ahead and make it just as much fun as the vacation itself. Make a list early and little by little begin to collect things and pack. Just seeing your suitcase on the floor in the corner will brighten your day, knowing that relaxation for you is on the way.

Vacationing gives us the opportunity to look beyond the tip of our nose to see new places and experience new adventures that will increase your awareness of the world both geographically and culturally.
Being on a break allows us to spend some time alone. This is a significant part of any wellness program. Benefit from the change of pace and take time to reflect on our accomplishments and perhaps reassess our personal goals and responsibilities. Vacations allow us to boost our spirit, no matter what type of holiday we plan. Vacations will return us re-energized, more creative and more committed to our career, to our family and friends and even on our own health because breaking out of our regular routine for a week or two will renew our energy and enthusiasm.
Taking regular vacations will help us live longer. We will find ourselves breathing deeper and easier and the tension in our shoulders will disappear. Our back will be straighter. Our muscles will be strengthen from walking on a beach, swinging a golf club or casting a fishing line. We will eat better and making conscious choices about our meals instead of always taking a snack.
