LIVING BY FAITH, Part 3rnby Rev. Will Terry Moore, Ph.D.
The just shall live by faith [Habakkuk 2:4] [Romans 1:17] [Galatians 3:11] Hebrews 10:38].
Continued from Living By Faith, Part 2
Appendix A - List of Scriptures Referenced In Living By Faith Parts 1 and 2.
[Hebrews 11:1-3] 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
[Romans 10:17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
[Galatians 3:2] This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
[Galatians 3:5] He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
[Romans 3:27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
[1John 5:3-5] 3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
[Ephesians 6:10-18] 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;.
[Romans 8:30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
[1 Corinthians 4:4] For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
[1 Corinthians 6:11] And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
[Galatians 3:11] But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[Romans 3:24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[Psalm 91] 1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
[1Peter 5:6-7] 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
[Hebrews 10:14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
[Psalm 41:11] By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
[Psalm 92:4] For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
[2Corinthians 2:14] Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
[1Corinthians 15:57] But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[Roman 12:19] Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
[Hebrew 10:30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
[2Thessalonians 1:6] Seeing [it is] a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
[2Thessalonians 3:3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.
[2Timothy 4:18] And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
[Isaiah 54:17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.
