nA Guide to getting the most from Affirmations by Johnny London (http://www.AffirmationStation.com) n nThere are many different ways to learn, and most people have their own particular ways they pick up and retain information, some are visual learners, others sensual or audio. With the products found on www.AffirmationStation.com I suggest listening in 2 different ways. Both will bring about differing and positive results:n n1. For educational and growth purposes:n nRepeat, believe, act then receive..n nListen as much as possible! Have your MP3 player on as you fall asleep and leave it on through the night so the suggestions can seep deep into your subconscious mind. Leave the music playing as much as you can during the day as well, listen to it as background ambience or in 'active' listening states (an active listening state is when you're really listening to the suggestions on the recording - and imagining the ideal image associated with each affirmation). n nIn the beginning, write out how each statement makes you feel, meditate on it and come to terms with any negativity or contrary emotions associated with the truth of each statement. Realise that negativity in the beginning is all part of the learning process - it's perfectly normal and will pass with time. A way to aid the change from 'negative' to 'positive' is just to say to yourself 'This (the contrary emotion or thought) is not a part of who I now am'. Often when introducing (life changing) affirmations you might get into the internal dialogue of 'well (the negative thought telling you that it's a 'load of crap'), it is a part of who I am, that's why I'm feeling it - and it just won’t go away' when that happens assert the truth of the affirmation and tell yourself that you embody the affirmation and you are the truth in it and the negation of it is not a part of you now are. As with all learning/growth and change - repeat, repeat, repeat!n nFor each individual MP3 download (whether from the Power Affirmation, BookSmart or even Quotes to Music sections), write down the affirmations/quotes that you think are most pertinent to you - do this 2 or 3 times daily on 3x5 cards and carry them around with you to read, learn and memorise - read the suggestions while listening to your mp3's and imbue a feeling of total truth as to the relevance of each statement to you. Reading out loud and saying the affirmations with passion helps - get into belief, step into it almost as if you would a physical space, take the mental attitude of ownershipn nAnother thing that fosters growth is visualisation - as mentioned earlier creating an ideal image relative to the affirmations you are using is vital. You may have trouble holding the ideal image, or you may have no idea of it, but that is where meditating on what you want will help. Actively create an ideal and attach it to the affirmations. Concentrate on it - again, practice, practice, practice - use photos or other stimuli to help the imprinting of the ideal onto the subconscious.n nYet another massively important thing to remember is that no amount of repetition or positive thinking will bring ANYTHING to you without taking ACTION!n nRepeat, Believe, Act then Receive...be Grateful, then Repeat, Believe etc...Gratitude will bring you into close harmony with that which will bring you all you desire...Gratitude is the parent of all virtues, and at every step of your growth process you should be profoundly, reverently grateful.n nSo, in short, the way to listen for growth is: n n• Listen at night, all night and in the morning n• Listen Actively - get inside the belief mindset n• Write down affirmations n• Read, learn and memorise the affirmations that you think are most pertinent to you n• Understand that it takes time, perseverance and repetition n• Visualise ideals associated with each affirmation - and keep a fixed purpose n• Be PROFOUNDLY grateful (even when you think there is nothing happening!) n• Try not to listen and learn too many different affirmation subjects at the same time n• Repeat, Believe, Act then Receive...be Grateful, Repeat, Believe etcn n n2. Listening for Relaxational purposes:n nJust listen to music as you'd listen to normal music, but consciously tell yourself to relax - and do just that! The music is IDEALLY written (at 60bpm) to help induce soothing feelings of relaxation and repose - perfect to de-stress and unwind after or during a hard day at work!n nGet comfortable before you play your mp3 and let your mind wander freely! Listening to relaxing music is an edifying thing to do at any time of the day!n n• Listen with the active desire to relax! n• Find a comfortable placen• Free yourself from disturbancesn• Close your eyes and let your mind wander, either actively concentrating on the music/affirmations of notn n nSome Affirmation tips and advice:n n n1. If you have a particular subject you want to improve in (lets say wealth attraction) you should listen to 'BookSmart Science of Getting Rich' in the way suggested above. Also, you should actually read the book as well (not necessarily reading while listening to the mp3, but you can do this if you want). The aim should be to 'get inside' the truth of each affirmation and actively attempt to apply that understanding to your life. This takes time and repetition. The affirmations on Affirmation Station should become living essence inside you!n n2. Many people believe that their ship will 'magically come in' just thinking positively. But without 'sending the ships out' there is nothing to come in! Repeat, Believe, act then Receive!n n3. Increasing your awareness of your thoughts, ideas and feelings while listening to Affirmation Station products is paramount, and it is from these ideas, thoughts and feelings that you will be inspired to take the positive action needed to create and lead to the change you desire.n n4. Think of an Affirmation as a beautiful colour in the large spectrum of self-help, improvement and growth field. Use each colour like an artist creating the masterpiece that is their life!n n5. Remember an affirmation deals with an IDEAL or a TRUTH, and it might not necessarily your current IDEAL or TRUTH, but with repetition you will come into a living understanding of the IDEAL and TRUTH associated with it, and when you have that understanding, it (the inherent truth of the affirmation) will be present in your life. This is true for all affirmations, whether they are about love, wealth of health - repeat, believe, act then receive...The reason why people fail to grow from using them is that they give up early, or they fear the change they think they want and give up trying, or they just get bored! Whatever the reason is for giving up is arbitrary, it's that people give up - that's the problem, not in the affirmations themselves. So PERSEVERE!n
