THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH INSIDE ALL OF US
So Why Do We Get Old?

We've all heard the term, and probably used it: "Slept like a baby," or the reference to "my beauty sleep." History and literature have recorded countless searches for "The Fountain of Youth." A much less publicized fact is that each of us has in fact, his own, personal fountain of youth dwelling as an intrinsic component deep within our own physical makeup.

Sound crazy? Maybe so, but still true. We carry it in our brain, specifically in the pineal gland, which manufactures the hormone, melatonin in the dark of night.

Melatonin helps release the sleep hormone GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid.) Sleep then heals body cells damaged through daytime stress. Melatonin enhances the production of the growth hormones that keep us young, healthy, and strong. Melatonin is what keeps babies cute and adults attractive.

THE ENEMY OF FREE RADICALS

Remember our enemy, the free radical? Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant protecting DNA in our cells against disease causing damage. Look at nitrates as an example. Most of us take in plentyof them daily. They're everywhere! Deli meats, bacon, sausage, hot dogs, and all those other tasty foods contain loads and loads of nitrates. These form peroxynitrates when we eat all those delicious processed meats. Peroxynitrates are chemicals suspected to be a major cause of COPD, diabetes 2, Parkinson'd disease and other health problems, even cancer.

CANCER ALERT!

Melatonin acts as a weak anti-estrogen. A study testing melatonin levels in women showed that women with the highest levels of melatonin had the lowest risk of cancer. Another study showed that high levels of melatonin reduced the risk of death regardless of the type of cancer.

MELATONIN NEEDS THE DARKNESS

The hormone is manufactured by the body during periods of total darkness. Women who work night shifts are deprived of the darkness needed for the production of melatonin. Such women have lowered levels of melatonin and higher rates of breast cancer. In one study, scientists found that melatonin acts like the aromatase inhibitors used to prevent and treat early stages of breast cancer. Aromatase inhibitors slow down estrogen production, resulting in slower tumor growth.

MEN'S PROSTATE HEALTH AFFECTED

Melatonin helps prevent and manage prostate cancer, which is often driven by estrogen levels The prostate itself contains melatonin receptors, which tells us emphatically that men must have adequate amounts of melatonin for a healthy prostate. This hormone can go a long way in improving the survival rate of men with prostate cancer.

WHERE'S THE GLITCH?

So while we go around carrying our own fountain of youth in our brain we still continue to get old. What's wrong? The answer is that both melatonin and human growth hormones decline with age at about the same rate and time frame.Bye bye muscle mass, strength, energy, and passion. Hi there, hair thinning, wrinkles, aches and pains, and the tendency to wake up at 5 a.m. This trend starts at about the age of 50 and continues inexorably through out the rest of your life.

SLOWING THE MARCH OF TIME

Melatonin supplementation goes a long way in helping you get your beauty sleep and slowing down the aging process. A strong partnership with vitami B complex will vigorously enhance the affects of melatonin supplementation. Getting away from night shift work will extend your life. Those who travel extensively are very subject to melatonin depletion, while crossing time zones aggravates the condition. All in all, melatonin supplementation is a safe and effective way of helping your body adjust to different time zones and slowing down the advance of the reaper.

REGARDING SUPPLEMENTS

We all take supplements. Or should be. With all the processing and growing deficiencies of our food supply these days, it's the only we we can be assured of getting the vital nutrients we need to ensure our health. But the problem is that there is also a whole lot of junk out there. You'll never get a recommendation for junk from LeQuadrillage!

When buying supplements, we need to be assured that, among other things, the products actually contain the ingredients on the label, in the amounts specified there. Another thing to watch for is the methods of manufacture with an eye to the actual bio availability of the ingredients, What good are the ingredients in a supplement if your body cannot absorb and utilize them? Many other factors enter into evaluating a supplement and we'd have to write a book on this subject to cover them all.

To cut this short; we'd really like you to consider getting your supplements from the one manufacturer we know of, who has been producing top of the line products for over fifty years and has never ever compromised on quality and service. If you can find a supplement provider offering the quality that even approaches this product line, at lower prices, we'd like to hear from you.
