When I was growing up as a teenager I suffered from emotional issues. I had low self esteem and was depressed. At various times I thought about suicide and believed life was not worth living. But something, thankfully, kept me from going in that direction. nn I knew I wanted to help people and give encouragement but I was in need of encouragement myself. As I entered into adulthood, I learned to manage my emotions and the depression a bit better, but still wasn’t very happy. I tried to fill the emptiness with things such as over working and frequently got into reoccurring bad relationships, but still I wasn’t happy. Instead I was tired and sick all the time.nn I knew I had to do something!nn I began to study human behavior, communications and spirituality. I learned about natural health laws and began to make changes in diet, exercise and rest. I noticed that even little changes made big differences in my appearance and outlook. I learned which foods heal the body and which foods destroy the body. I learned ways to test food and supplements to know what I needed for my particular body composition, and began experiencing wonderful benefits as my body began getting the food, rest and exercise it needed. I discovered simple and easy ways to get healthy-- ways that could be sustained while avoiding the quick “healthy resolution” burnout. n n Things were going quite well, but then I made a life changing discovery that propelled me even further in my progress than I had ever thought imaginable. I found and experienced natural health laws for the MIND! nn Applying basic and simple mind exercises, I began experiencing full and complete healing from the emotional and stress related health issues that had plagued me for so many years. Years of emotional trauma and mental baggage were lifted. I began to feel lighter and free. I got back my light step and inner joy and happiness. I had more energy and noticed my physical body felt better and my appearance greatly improved.nn I knew that I had to share with others all the things that I had learned. This great enrichment was too wonderful and powerful to keep to myself. I invite you to join me in learning about Holistic Health in a way that is easy and makes sense. We often overlook our brain in taking care of our body. We may not be aware how key the mind’s role is in becoming healthy and disease free. Applying the same healthful principles to the mind that we do for our body facilitates healing and wellness for the total mind and body. n n I was surprised that during all my years of learning about health for the body, that I had never been taught HOW to keep the mind healthy. I knew from various experiences that there was a connection between the brain and the body, but had never been taught step by step exercises that were easy and accessible to everyone. I like to call it, “The Lost Art of Mental Health”. These are exercises that anyone can learn and practice. It is special food for the brain.n
