What does cloaking your links mean ?

Basically, the link on your web page should *not* look like an affiliate link. Your affiliate link/id shouldn't be found anywhere on your page.

Your text links should show the "website.name" and not "website.name?affiliate=john". Also, when the visitor moves his mouse over the link, the browser's status bar should read "website.name".

Another efficient way is to have a blank page with the sole purpose of redirecting the visitor to the actual affiliate link.

This way you can link to pages *within your website* without the visitor suspecting anything.
