Engine sounds, working headlights and tail lights would be other extras that your kid might enjoy. If you are buying an RC toy for a child who wants to play with his siblings or friends who also have remote-controlled toys, keep in mind that every RC toy has to have a different frequency. Your kid's RC toy will have a frequency clearly printed on its box, so if you are buying toys for two kids to share as they play, find two completely different frequencies. A lot of RC toys tend to put infrared technology to use, though; for those toys, no frequencies would be involved.
