Humans always like to explore the unexplored. Riddles are a way to engage and encourage human mind to explore various possibilities. People are always fascinated by the mysterious. Since time immemorial, people have tried to understand everything and want to explore things. People with more intelligence are considered better as they are able to solve a problem faster. And they are able to come up with a proper conclusion. If a human mind is not able to understand a situation or phenomenon properly then it comes up with its own curious explanation for the thing. Modern scientific researches and studies have explained most of the mysteries of the world, including the solar system, the moon, and other previously-considered mysterious things. However, a lot of people still believe in superstitions and things that seem amazing and mysterious. It explains why even today millions of people believe in existence of witches, ghosts, black magic, and aliens. It is also due to human fascination with the concept of mystery and the human mind's willingness to believe something which sounds amazing, mysterious or non-explainable. A riddle is a tricky question in which you have to guess the right answer by using the clues given in the question. It has been a part of the growing up of kids all over the world. People love to solve a puzzle or riddle as it means exercise of their brain and engagement of mind. A puzzle, a kind of riddle, is also popular all over the world. In recent times Sudoku, a logic and number based puzzle has been internationally popular. People who come up with the right guess in a riddle are considered intelligent, as it shows that their mind works faster and the person is able to think laterally. As intelligent people are considered better, there has been various tests to measure the level of intelligence. Intelligence quotient (IQ) tests are a measurement of the intelligence of a person. Though no test has been considered perfect in truly measuring the level of human intelligence. Many people use riddles to casually guess the smartness of a person.
