Scarcity of Public Notaries – A Dilemma

In many states of America today, there is a dilemma with their Notary Publics. This is because of the many requirements like “errors and omissions insurance” which is quite expensive that many Public Notaries leave the profession. The scarcity of Public notaries makes it difficult for us to have our public documents notarized. What makes it even more difficult is because of the so many people who needs notarization with their documents – the ratio of Public Notaries to number of documents to be notarized is so gross. This is what makes Gate’s brainchild of starting the e-signatures commendable. This brainchild of his is now the in-thing. Nowadays, you can already fill up your forms online. The streamlining of the IRS e-filing is a thing of beauty. What do you think of a bank, or other agencies for that matter who boast of the supposed availability of notary public and find that she/he is nowhere to be located? What makes it even worse is the fact that some of these notary publics don’t even know and understand their job specification. The large number of required signatures, the expensive cost of Notary Publics’ insurance and the legal cases over various issues which brings our society to this dilemma are matters of concern. We are spending lots of worthless millions of dollars to American businesses running after and looking for Notary Publics who are either out for lunch or did not report for work that day. This is such a waste of time, money and effort. Why is there so much fuss about requiring Public Notarization on public documentations these days? The answer is because every government of every state or country requires it for legality. Do you find absurdity in all these nonsense? Do we really need all these extra legality to leave peacefully?
