When you become aware of a pain in the body, focus yournattention on it objectively and think nothing else, no words -nno emotional attachment - no internal dialog whatsoever.nObserve the pain as if it had nothing to do with you because nIn fact it-does-not, not if you wish to eliminate it. nnSo your job is to silently focus your attention on the pain in antotally objective or detached manner. Generally speaking younwill only need to focus your attention on the area of pain forn20 - 60 seconds and then forget about it and just go on aboutnyour business. You may find that after a while you do not evennneed your full attention to do this. Note: It’s OK to focus anlittle longer if needed. nnEmotional attachment to the pain and or internal dialognsurrounding the process sends a confused message which is likeninviting the pain to stay. nn* * So remember it is not your pain in your body, it is a painnin the body. * * Identifying with pain is claiming it. nnThis is fast pain relief and it is empowerment. The more you donit the better you will get. It may not work for everything butnit does work for Many things. nnOK, as a recap. (1) Silently and objectively focus your attentionnon the pain for 20 - 60 seconds. (2) Let go of the processncleanly and just goes on about your business. (3) Do not get innthe way by belaboring the process, (i.e., waiting for results). nnOne final note. This is not the same thing as when someone saysn“Don’t focus on the pain.” That type of Focus is subjective andnyou are Identifying with the pain which means you are claiming itnn----------------------------------------------------------------nnAfter having learned the basic approach above, you can add othernelements to it. For instance, you can call upon the Reikinenergy and send to yourself, as your focus on your pain.nnI had a tooth ache the other night and I didn’t take care of itnsoon enough so it was real hard to get rid of the pain bynfocussing on it, I had allowed the pain to block my efforts tonfocus. I was getting “in” to the pain, identifying with it, andnin doing so I claimed it. By claiming the pain, and seeing itnas “mine,” I had allowed it to gain control of me. Stuffnhappens…nnSo I applied Reiki energy. I acknowledged the healing energynthat is all around me. This time, instead of focusing on thenpain, I focused on the healing energy and allowed it to flownthrough me into the tooth...the tooth ache was reduced 90%, nallowing me to go to sleep, it only took me a minute or so.nnReiki energy is higher-vibrational healing energy. It is annatural healing energy that anyone can use. I’m going to givenyou a simple technique to draw the Reiki energy to you. Youndon’t have to be in pain to use the Reiki energy to heal andnbalance yourself. It’s a pleasant, feel-good-anytimenexperience. You can enjoy it as often as you wish! nn1. The first thing you do is take 3 slow, deep breaths. Focusnon nothing but the sensation of your breath as it enters yournnose and flows down the passages. 2. Now clear your mind ofnall thought. nnHealing energy does not thrive in negative circumstances. Manynof our thoughts, ideas and interactions are negative and wendon’t even realize it. So don’t think about anything at all.nThis trick enables you to also let go of negative thoughts andnconditionings that cloud your mind, without making a big dealnabout them. Just breathe in and out and clear your mind of allnthoughts. Take 3 slow, deep breaths, hold them for just a quicknmoment, and then breathe out. Breathing will relax the body andnhaving relaxed the body the mind can clear. If you startnthinking, don’t sigh and kick yourself in the teeth, just veryngently breathe in and out and let your thoughts flow out as younbreath.nn3. Now that you’re relaxed and have let go of your thoughts, youncan start to sense the healing energy all around you. You cannactually experience it as it flows all around you. Just relaxnand let it flow to you. It’s a natural vibration, a ripple fromnthe universal pool of healing energy and it’s there for you tonuse.nn4. Now, draw the healing energy to you by becoming a part of it.nAll you have to do is accept it as a part of yourself, for innreality it is. So just let it flow to and through you and sitnback and enjoy the experience of natural higher-vibrationalnhealing energy.nnYou will have to practice this method to perfect it. You willnenjoy the experience, from the very first time you do it. Andnyou will want to practice this self-healing approach often, evennwhen you are not experiencing pain. You will do it to feelngood! You will like how you feel when you work with the Reikinenergy. You will become more calm and centered and thus able tontake life as it comes and make better decisions in the now. nnAs you become more and more calm, more and more in touch withnyour internal center, your life will begin to work much betternfor you. You will find that you are no longer attracted tonnegative thoughts and emotions, or to negative people.
