Prior to starting a small business, you need to get organized and that includes getting clutter out of your life. Give those items you do not need to a charitable organization, or someone who can use them. Or, you may want to sell the items you cannot use anymore. You can use the money from selling those unused items to start a new business or build an existing one.

You may want to start organizing the little things and then work on the big items. Take an inventory of things you have not used in a year or more. These are things you will probably never use again. Men! Let’s talk about which one of those toys you can do without, to help you save money? That’s right! You know how much you like your toys. When you impulsively purchase an expensive toy, you put a dent in your budget, and it could set you back a little. In the end, this could have a negative impact on the family.

Do a survey of your situation by answering these questions: Are you buying too much of a certain food that is going bad before you get a chance to eat it? Are you winterizing your house to save heat? Are you servicing your car to get maximum performance to save gas? Are you buying what you need instead of what you want? Have you paid off those credit card debt? Do you need to consolidate your bills? Are you wasting your time?

Now is the time to avoid getting angry or depressed over your situation. Do something about it, and do it NOW! Make a list of areas where you can cut back and start doing it TODAY!
