I've been going through a time of letting go of things, projects, and people from my life lately. It's never an easy process and, frankly, some of it can be quite emotionally draining. I was feeling a bit down about the ending of a particular professional relationship when my husband reminded me that "things often seem stormy when we are in the midst of entering a new phase in our life." nnHe's right. Every time we make a commitment to transform our lives in a positive and major way, seemingly unrelated events take place. For example, we made a commitment to live in the place of our dreams and a business relationship came to an end. They didn't seem to be linked in any way and yet, it was impossible to miss the timing of the events. Once I realized that these occurrences were energetically linked, it was so much easier to let go and honour the perfection in it all, even it a part of me felt some sadness at the loss. Suddenly, I realilzed I was spiritually spring cleaning to free up energy for the positive growth I had committed to. nnI'm sure this is something that countless people are experiencing now, particularly with the loss of jobs and money during the recession. Yet, I can't get over how many people have been telling me that they will no longer accept anything less than their dreams, that they have become clearer about what's important in their life, and have made a commitment to transforming their lives in a positive way. I truly believe these decisions have created some of the loss, to enable them to create a life that is more authentic, fulfilling, and spiritually relevant.nnJust think of the great feeling we experience after we've cleared out the junk and clutter in our homes that no longer serves us. Everything just feels better. It feels like we can breathe deeper, experience greater freedom, and like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. I'm making a commitment to accept the losses as spring cleaning to create room for greatness in my life. I hope you will too. And, I wish you an infinite amount of greatness in your life.nnnMichelle Schoffro Cook, DNM, DAc, CNC is a best-selling and six-time book author, whose works include: The Life Force Diet, The Ultimate pH Solution, The 4-Week Ultimate Body Detox Plan, The Brain Wash, and Healing Injuries the Natural Way.
