Does excessive sweating affect your life? Have you tried different method but all to no affect? Excessive sweating a very crippling and harsh disorder. It can result in little self esteem and confidence making you constantly concious and anxious about it. This guide will help you find a cause and solution to the problem enabling you to live in a much happier and confident way now that your excessive sweating has been cured. Humans sweat to help keep cool - water has a high boiling point and a lot of heat energy is wasted on sweat (keeping you cool). It can also be a cause of stress or anxiety, but when you aren't stressed or in a warm climate then what is the cause? The correct term for excessive sweating is hyperhidrosis. There are many causes for this such as obesity, diet, climate, illnesses and endocrine problems, but the main reason is genetics. People usually inherit hyperhidrosis from their parents, other causes are usually temporary and will not last for long. Many scientists and doctors belive that gene therapy will be an effective, efficient cure for hyperhidrosis, so that it can be eradicated for good (if the genes are changed the disorder may not be passed on). Removing the incorrect gene should be a permanent fix for all hyperhidrosis sufferers. Surgery is a permanent treatment that is also effective, there are different types of surgery that relate to your problem: Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy is the main type of surgery for hyperhidrosis problems and is most suitable for the majority of the sufferers. For people who are suffering from excessive armpit sweating the current method is a laser armpit sweat treatment. This is a new and improved treatment which damages the sweat glands under the armpits helping you to sweat less. There are many different alte ative treatments to sweat less such as oral pills, lotions, electronic devices and more, but the most common form of treatment is a lotion called Drysol, which is meant to be effective for excessive perspiration. You apply Drysol to the area of excessive sweat, but is only a temporary solution, largely ineffective and a waste of time.
